i just got home from a halsey concert i impulsively bought tickets for. is it impulsive if i made people agree to go with me? i think so. i decided the night before (10pm-3am) that i wanted to see this concert and the tickets were cheap enough to warrant it. and i did have to disobey my dad (see: piss him off bc i didn’t bend to his flimsy refusal) to pull it off, but that honestly made it a little more enticing.
so! the show!
it was really good, of course, it would be kind of hard to be bad! i could’ve used a few more deep cuts, but i’m just a big fan so i know all my own favorites. but angel on fire? arsonist? fucking darwinism as an opener? amazing. and the new reimagined closer? that was astounding. i really really loved it. plus the overall concept of the tour, once i saw all the little cutscenes and everything, absolutely loved. i want a tattoo in the tour font so badly now, it’s almost concerning! and i bought a new zip up hoodie, but it does mean hopefully i wont take it as hard when L takes the waterparks one with them to new york. because it’s his so like… he should. he will. but i love a zip up and i love the parx zip up. anyways. halsey zip up now! and i need to buy a tote bag next show. oh yeah! we have tickets to another stop on this same tour. again, impulsive. but it’s a bucket list thing for me to see the first night of a tour, which i’ve now done!!! very exciting for me. life may just be worth living. i’m exhausted and i’ve got a weird sinus pressure going on, but i had a really good time. i already miss it. i love soaking in live music. i am a plant with an insatiable thirst for sound.
i still need to update the blog about the hackathon, desperately. and… something else i can’t remember right now. but this is what happens right now. we’re in this moment, this is what comes out. i’ll add tags and fix everything up the next time i come around here.
